LCDR FREDDIE AMOS
SENIOR NAVAL SCIENCE INSRUCTOR
Lieutenant Commander Amos is a native of Dallas, Texas, enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1986 as an Operations Specialist (OS) and then making his way up through the Navy enlisted ratings to Chief Petty Officer in 1998. In August 2000, Lieutenant Commander Amos was commissioned under the Limited Duty Officer program and completed Officer Training in Pensacola, Florida. Upon completion, he was assigned Naval Ocean Processing Facility (NOPF) Dam neck Virginia.
After multiple successful tours ashore and at sea as an Operations Technician Unrestricted Limited duty officer, he completed 30 years of total service to the navy, finishing his career as the Operations Officer at Afloat Training Group San Diego, both as the Operations Officer and then Deputy of Combat Systems Department.
Lieutenant Commander Amos is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and holds a Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various unit, campaign, and service medals.
